Specialist Assembly Technician

What you’ll be doing?

In the role you will be responsible for supporting the production line assembly process, sub assembly departments in manufacturing specialist vehicles to a consistently high standard.

Main Responsibilities and Requirements

  • All areas of exterior and interior trim, standard and additional elements as part of the conversion – such as fitting vehicle flooring, seats, tracking, vents and window fitting, interior locker / cabinet systems.
  • Able to work with all types of trim material, mild steel, s/steel, aluminium, fiberglass, composite, plywood, ABS, general plastics, vinyl and carpet
  • Ability to use a variety of consumable materials, polyester filler, sealants, panel wipe, glues, aerosol paints and primers and structural adhesives.
  • Ability to use a good range of hand and power tools
  • Working in line with Company standards, H&S requirements, ISO 9001 and 14001

Key Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a Vehicle Fitter/Bodybuilding / Automotive role is preferred but not essential as we will provide training.
  • Works well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Experience working independently, and to be supportive within a wider team
  • Good communicator both verbally and written
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, right-first-time attitude
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Stores Operative

Advanced Emergency Vehicles design, develop, and manufacture the most innovative emergency service and front-line vehicles, for fleets of all sizes. We are proud to support our NHS by designing and building emergency vehicles and are currently in an exciting period of growth, looking for enthusiastic new team members who will share our pride in manufacturing these lifesaving vehicles.

Due to AEVs rapid growth we need to strengthen our material control team and ensure business continuity. Therefore, we are advertising for a Stores Operator to help support our warehouse & inventory control processes.

This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to work alongside the existing warehouse team.

Description

Job Title: Stores Operative

Reporting to: Stores Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the storage, receiving and distribution of material within the warehouse and electrical stores
  • Receiving and verifying shipments.
  • Stocking both warehouse, electrical stores and lineside locations
  • Helping to resolve any material issues and minimize stockouts
  • Always maintain a clean and organised stores environment supporting improvement projects.
  • Inventory management tracking stock levels and ordering replenishment materials
  • Report any non-conformities or potential issues into the Stores Manager
  • Drive an FLT unloading and loading delivery vans and lorries
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Good motivator and positive attitude
  • Respectful attitude towards team members and peers

Skills & Capabilities:

The role is physically demanding with lots of bending, stretching kneeling and lifting.

Valid FLT Counterbalance license

Willing to support the business when overtime is needed.

Applicants must be reliable, clean and tidy with good communication skills and be passionate about delivering good customer service.
